Due to a high volume of inquiries, it can happen that, as a small start-up, we occasionally reach the limits of our capacity. For this reason, we have to ask for a little patience when processing your messages - we won't forget you! Please also check your spam folder regularly, we may have already replied to you.

As a rule, every request will be answered within 48 hours.

Your order can only be canceled if we can process your request before shipping. For this reason, we recommend the following steps to ensure timely reaction:

After completing your order, you will receive an order confirmation email within 15 minutes.

General questions

You will find a size chart on every product page. 
Please be sure to order according to the information in the respective size chart in order to get the right size. 

Of course you can wear your orthopaedic insoles in our shoes. However, it should be noted that, depending on the insole, the feeling in the shoe may be different than with the supplied insoles, for example.

Together with our shoes, our insoles offer impressive physical and biomechanical benefits. The insoles can of course be purchased individually.

No, the fit is retained even after washing in the washing machine. Of course, our shoes are not free from wear and tear. However, they last a long time.

No, unfortunately this is currently not possible. We can offer our Outlivia products at a comparatively very low price, as we do not have the necessary logistics for the retail trade and other costs incurred for placement. The usual brands for outdoor products usually charge 2-3 times as much as Outliva. As we want to offer great outdoor products for everyone at affordable prices, as a small start-up we are currently not selling in local stores.

Health

Walking barefoot should always be started carefully; a short walk of around 15 minutes several times a week is an ideal introduction. The foot muscles are usually not used much when wearing regular shoes and therefore need to build up slowly. This affects the muscles, tendons, ligaments and the particularly sensitive skin on the feet. It is therefore advisable to start with short walking or running routes first.

If you develop sore muscles, it is better to take a break for a few days before continuing barefoot walking. Once the muscle soreness has passed, you can slowly increase the distances and running times. All sock shoes have a protective function. Switching excessively from conventional shoes to sock shoes will never make sense.

Many of these problems are caused by foot misalignments. Walking barefoot trains the foot muscles and enables pain-free movement. Pain is often a thing of the past after a short time. However, if symptoms persist, you should always consult a doctor!

Barefoot running, or running in sock shoes, offers a variety of benefits, including

  • Reactivation and strengthening of the foot muscles
  • Basis for healthy foot development
  • Better blood circulation & activation of the venous pump
  • Sensory feedback

The stronger feeling for the ground also leads to better balance and sure-footedness, as the body can adapt optimally to the ground conditions. As a result, the natural gait is maintained, the joints can move freely and naturally and perform their task unhindered.

Orthopaedists very often recommend moderate barefoot walking to strengthen the foot muscles in these cases. Sock shoes provide optimum protection against injuries. The special feature of sock shoes is that the feet generally have a much greater range of movement and much less support than in normal footwear. Wearing sock shoes therefore has a special training effect on the foot muscles and can counteract the development of fallen arches. In individual cases, however, it is advisable to ask an orthopaedic specialist for advice on the long-term use of sock shoes.

Certainly not, because walking barefoot is the most natural way of walking in the world. Most of the time, however, our feet are no longer used to walking barefoot due to the constant wearing of shoes with relatively inflexible soles: most shoes change our gait dramatically. Due to the heel and cushioning, the foot rests on the heel and not in the forefoot or midfoot area. Immense impact forces affect the foot, knee, hip and back. The stride becomes too long and the gait pattern shifts. This can lead to atrophy of many muscles in the foot and poor posture.

Material and care

Our sock shoes can be washed in a laundry net at 30 degrees on a gentle cycle. 

In principle, the insoles can also be washed. However, as washing insoles is a much more frequent process in most cases, we recommend gently washing the insoles by hand or simply rinsing them under running water to prolong the life of the insole. Replacement insoles are easy to find in our online store.

Yes, our heated clothing is fully machine washable, thanks to its high-quality waterproof fabric. This feature allows for easy cleaning and reuse. Just remember to remove the power bank before washing to maintain functionality and safety. 

Possible applications

Yes, you can drive a car in socks without any problems. The most important thing when you're on the road is that you don't endanger anyone. Therefore, you should always drive with mutual consideration.

Of course, you can use our sock shoes for many sporting activities. Unfortunately, the sock shoes are not suitable for cycling with pedals that have anti-slip nails, as the soles of the shoes can be damaged by these pedals.

Yes, this is possible without any problems. You should wash the sock shoes with clear water after use in chlorine or salt water to prevent the upper material from fading.

Basically everywhere: in leisure time, at work, during sport, but also in the water and on the beach etc. Our Outlivia sock shoes are suitable for any surface and provide optimum protection for your feet. Sharp objects such as shells and stones or rough surfaces such as asphalt are no problem.

Yes, the soles really are ideal for tennis! On sand, the grip is excellent and you use your foot muscles to move your whole body much faster, with more durability and without injury.

Don't be afraid of wind and weather! Of course, sock shoes get wet when it rains. However, as the feet are in motion, they generate their own heat and the sock shoes dry again quite quickly after a rain shower. You can also walk barefoot in snow and ice. The pronounced base gives the Outlivia sock shoes tread resistance, but caution is generally advised on icy and slippery surfaces!

Our sock shoes can be worn in the gym without any problems. Thanks to their non-slip soles, they even offer additional safety conditions. Sock shoes are a great addition for many sports. As our sock shoes were not developed for use in the gym, slight discoloration may occur under certain circumstances. These are within the range of commercially available shoe soles.

Please note that we currently do not offer free returns apart from our free standard shipping. We will of course only send you a free return label in the event of defects and warranty cases.

Discounts that are granted from a certain number of products purchased lose their validity in the event of a return and will be deducted from your refund. If, for example, you purchase four products and use a discount code that applies from a quantity of four products, the discount will become invalid in the event of a partial return.

The discount immediately loses its validity as soon as the purchase contract is revoked by the customer for one of the items, as this falls below the minimum purchase quantity of the quantity discount specified by Outlivia. In the event that the customer cancels the purchase contract for a single item from an order with at least one discounted item or returns it, only the discounted item will be refunded, so that the quantity discount is automatically forfeited in the refund if the minimum purchase quantity of 2 items is not reached due to the customer's cancellation. Unfortunately, we have to use this paragraph to protect ourselves against misuse of our quantity discount. The right of withdrawal for all items is of course not restricted by this.

Due to the enormous demand for some products, our stocks are in some cases completely exhausted within a very short time. For this reason, there may be minor delays in delivery. You can see the current availability of each product on the respective product pages.

As we are a small family start-up, we currently only deliver to Australia, Canada, New Zealand, United Kingdom and the United States.

Transparency and environment

We have chosen Asia as the production location for our products. Even though we would like to see more local production for reasons of sustainability, we have to admit that Asia currently has the highest level of expertise when it comes to the production of outdoor products. Accordingly, we have all our products manufactured in Asia to the highest quality standards. We of course pay particular attention to occupational safety, fair wages and working conditions.

As already mentioned, Asia is very well suited for the production of outdoor products due to its high technological standards. When searching for a suitable manufacturer, we looked at the current market and the production facilities of the leading competitors and realized that the majority of the products we sell on the American market are produced in Asia. After calculating all the factors (price, experience, working conditions), we came to the conclusion that, at this stage, Asia is ideally suited as a production site for our products. Many items and products in our everyday lives already come from production sites based outside the United States - whether smartphones, sneakers or clothing. We therefore try to act as environmentally conscious as possible in all other areas.
